Blog Post 5: Wave Interference Simulation Activities

Blog Post 5

1. Amplitude at 25% = .8cm
    Amplitude at 50% = .8cm

2. Frequency at 25% = 3.16cm
    Frequency at 50% = 1.8cm

3. Adjusting the amplitude of the wavelengths does not change the distance from peak to trough, but adjusting the frequency will change the distance.  Amplitude does not change with frequency adjustment.

4. X -> A ~ 4.20cm       Y -> A ~ 4.20cm
    X -> B ~ 4.28cm        Y -> B ~ 6..62cm
    X -> C ~ 6.60cm        Y -> C ~4.32cm
    X -> D ~ 6.65cm        Y -> D ~ 8.01cm
    X -> E ~ 6.57cm        Y -> E ~ 6.62cm
    X -> F ~ 7.90cm        Y -> F ~ 6..55cm

Wavelength distance: 2.8cm
X&Y Distance = 5cm

Adding a second faucet increases the distance from peak to trough slightly.
